EMC Student Conferences

We are looking forward to welcoming you and our students to our in-person emagazine and MediaMagazine conferences next academic year.

Dan, Claire and Emma are busy working on the programmes for the London conferences for 2024-25. We’re also delighted that Dan will once again be organising Language A Level conferences in Macclesfield. 

Confirmed Conference dates for 24-25

• emagazine Language Conference, Wednesday 20th November, Friends House, London
• emagazine Poems of the Decade Conference, Thursday 5th December, Friends House, London
• MediaMagazine Conference, Friday 24th January 2025, BFI, London.

Price per ticket

• The price for our London conferences is £25 per student, with one free teacher place as follows: 1-9 students = 1 free teacher place; 10-19 students = 2 free teacher places and so on.

Important! New booking process for 24-25

To ensure all schools have the chance to book tickets for their students, we have made some changes to the booking process, including our cancellation policy.

• We will no longer keep a ‘Let me know when tickets will be available’ list. We will announce the date tickets go on sale via email, social media and online, three days before bookings open.
• A 20% non-refundable deposit will be taken on each student (and paid-for teacher) ticket. 
• You will be able to make amendments to your booking until the final numbers deadline – date announced on the conference webpage. If you cancel a place you will lose the 20% deposit paid on this place. If you paid the full fee by card, you will receive an 80% refund on places cancelled by the final numbers deadline.
• Schools who choose invoice payment will be invoiced for the balance of the total fee (80%) on confirmed places. Please note: you will not be able to use the 20% deposit paid on cancelled places towards this final invoice.
• After the final numbers deadline date you will be charged 100% of the ticket price, regardless of the numbers of students you bring to the conference.
• We are no longer operating a waiting list for student conferences. If places become available, we will re-open the bookings on the website. We will publicise this via social media and our general mailing list.
