A School-based Creative Workshop with Barbara Bleiman - Enriching the Study of a Text at KS3 or KS4

Would you like a creative workshop based on a text you are teaching, using creative writing to illuminate the text? Romeo and Juliet? Macbeth? An Inspector Calls? A Christmas Carol? Jekyll and Hyde? Blake’s ‘London’? A story that explores broader ideas about what literature is, and what it can do for you? Using stories in the collection, An Inspector Called - Text Transformations, Barbara Bleiman will be offering a limited number of 90-minute workshops for groups of up to 25 students, where they will explore the text through the idea of text transformation, producing some creative writing of their own, while gaining fresh insights into the text itself. This offer will be subject to Barbara’s availability and her access to your school or college.

Booking the Workshop

• This school-based workshop must be booked online. 
• To book this workshop you must be signed into a UK Educator Admin (purchasing) account.

1. Click 'Add to basket'.
2. Go to your basket.
3. On the 'Delivery' page, add the name of the person we should contact about the booking. 
4. Checkout, choosing to pay by invoice.
5. You will see a screen indicating your order has been successful. You may want to make a note of your order number. The person making the booking and the contact teacher will both receive an automatic acknowledgement of the booking.
6. We will be in touch within the next 5 working days to arrange the date and time for the workshop and to discuss details of the session. 

What if the date suggested by EMC is not suitable?

If we are unable to find a date and time to suit both the school and the EMC workshop leader, your booking will be cancelled and any monies paid refunded in full.

Cancelling or amending an agreed workshop booking

Once a date and time for the workshop has been agreed, the following cancellation and amendment policy will apply:

• Workshops cancelled more than four weeks in advance of the agreed date will be subject to a 20% cancellation fee
• Workshops cancelled within 1 to 4 weeks of the agreed date will incur a 50% charge
• Workshops cancelled within 7 days of the agreed will be charged the full workshop fee.

If you need to change the date or time of your workshop, we will work with you to find an alternative date. If this is not possible, the cancellation policy above will apply.
