EMC Approaches to Worlds and Lives – Section 1: Ranging Around (EMC_Free Download)

Section 1 of EMC's publication on AQA's new anthology for GCSE Worlds and Lives focuses on ranging around the anthology and is being made available to everyone free of charge. 

The ranging around aspect of anthology work is the most important for students – learning how to compare across poems and make judicious choices is key to boosting literary thinking and confidence at handling all manner of texts. This substantial free resource includes approaches and activities which will be useful for all GCSE English Literature teachers, regardless of awarding body or anthology. 

The full publication (available to order here for £25) includes a wide range of critical and creative activities on each of the poems in the collection, as well as further ideas for developing comparative skills.
